FRIGIDARIUM, A SOURCE OF ICE
THE COLD PLUNGE, or as it is often called, the “FRIGIDARIUM”, is a COMPLIMENTARY THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT that gently improves the contraction process of the blood vessels after a full session in the thermal bath: the FINNISH SAUNA, STEAM ROOM or ROMAN BATH, INCLUDING HYDROTHERAPY. Normally these treatments are alternated with the cold plunge to intensify the effect of making the circulatory system suppler.
 |
It is a ready-made cabin produced from high quality acrylic that includes complex refrigeration equipment with continuous regulation designed to stimulate the process of thermal contrast when one comes out of the sauna or steam bath in a hydrotherapy centre. |

The frigidarium can include the option of special equipment for the production of and dosage of ice dispensed within the inside of the cabin.
The ice is dispensed frost-covered and its function is to have an effect on those parts of the body where one wants to have a greater intensity in improvement to the circulation such as in the lower extremities.
The treatment is carried out by the user applying it to the areas they want to as and when required..
